Public Health Engagement

Kachua Dalima Association (KDA) is committed to promoting inclusive and community-driven public health initiatives in underserved and climate-vulnerable regions of Bangladesh. Recognizing the intersection of poverty, climate change, and health risks—particularly in rural, coastal, and disaster-prone areas—KDA implements grassroots health awareness programs focusing on hygiene, nutrition, safe water, sanitation, and maternal and child health.

Through partnerships with local health departments, community health workers, and women-led groups, KDA mobilizes campaigns on preventive healthcare, climate-induced disease risks (e.g., waterborne illnesses), and reproductive health education. Special attention is given to marginalized populations, including women, children, and persons with disabilities.

As part of its integrated approach, KDA also links public health with climate resilience, psychosocial support, and livelihood security to ensure holistic community well-being.

Child and Mother Care:
Child and mother

Kachua Dalima Association (KDA) is deeply committed to improving the health and well-being of mothers and children in vulnerable and underserved communities. Recognizing that maternal and child health is fundamental to sustainable development, KDA implements community-based interventions focusing on prenatal and postnatal care, child nutrition, immunization awareness, and safe motherhood practices.

Through partnerships with local health centers and community health workers, KDA organizes health camps, distributes nutrition supplements, promotes breastfeeding, and raises awareness about hygiene and disease prevention. Special emphasis is placed on rural and disaster-prone areas where access to quality healthcare is limited.

By empowering mothers with knowledge and linking them to essential health services, KDA strives to reduce maternal and child mortality, malnutrition, and health inequities—laying the foundation for a healthier, more resilient future.

Anti-Tobacco Initiative
11111

Kachua Dalima Association (KDA) actively champions tobacco control as part of its broader mission to promote public health and community well-being. Acknowledging the severe health, economic, and social impacts of tobacco use, especially among low-income and rural populations, KDA has launched grassroots anti-tobacco campaigns targeting youth, women, and informal sector workers.

The initiative focuses on awareness-building through community dialogues, school-based education, and health advocacy programs. KDA collaborates with local health departments, religious leaders, and educators to spread the message about the harmful effects of smoking and smokeless tobacco. Special attention is given to protecting children and pregnant women from second-hand smoke and encouraging tobacco users to seek cessation support.

We seek financial assistance, medical equipment donations, and technical partnerships to build and operate this facility. Your generous contribution can help us offer dignity, care, and healing to thousands who currently lack even the most basic healthcare access.
