KACHUA DALIMA YOUTH ASSOCIATION (KDYA)

Introduction:

Kachua Dalima Youth Association (KDYA) is a non-profit, community-based independent organization established to empower young people and strengthen community development in Kachua ,Bauphal Upazilla , Patuakhali and surrounding areas. The organization believes that youth are the backbone of sustainable development and social change. Through targeted programs, KDAYA equips youth with skills, knowledge, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to their communities. Registered by Department of Youth, Ministry of Youth and Sports.Government of the peoples republic of Bangladesh. KDYA established under the umbrella of the Kachua Dalima Association (KDA) in Kachua, Bauphal Upazilla, Patuakhali District, Bangladesh.

History:

KDAYA was formally established in by a group of socially conscious young leaders in Kachua. Recognizing the lack of structured youth engagement and leadership development programs in the region, the founders aimed to create an organization that fosters youth empowerment, social inclusion, and active citizenship.

Vision:
A society where empowered youth actively participate in promoting sustainable development, social justice, and community well-being.
Mission:

To engage, educate, and empower youth through skill development, leadership training, community service, and advocacy, enabling them to become responsible, self-reliant, and socially conscious citizens.

Governance and Management:

KDYA is governed by the Board of Kachua Dalima Association (KDA) but have their own interdependent Executive Board a 7-member Executive Committee, elected every three years by the General Council. The organization is managed by a professional Secretariat headed by an Chairman. It follows a participatory decision-making approach, ensuring accountability, transparency, and inclusion.

General Council: The supreme body consisting of members who oversee policy and elect the Executive Committee.
Executive Committee: Responsible for operational and strategic decision-making.
Secretariat:
Implements programs, manages administration, and coordinates with partners and stakeholders.
Program Areas:
  • Youth Leadership & Capacity Building: Workshops, training, and mentorship programs to develop leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Education & Skill Development: Non-formal education programs, literacy initiatives, vocational and technical training, career guidance, and scholarships for underprivileged youth.
  • Health & Well-being: Awareness campaigns on physical and mental health, nutrition, hygiene, and reproductive health.
  • Environment & Climate Action: Tree plantation drives, awareness campaigns on climate change, waste management programs, and disaster preparedness training.
  • Social & Civic Engagement: Promoting volunteerism, community service, advocacy, and participation in local governance.
  • Entrepreneurship & Livelihood: Supporting youth-led enterprises, microfinance initiatives, and skill-based income generation projects.
Achievements & Impact:
  • Successfully trained over 5400 youth in leadership and vocational skills.

Financial & Administrative Management:
