Kachua Dalima Association (KDA) has launched a comprehensive Income Generating Program aimed at reducing poverty and creating sustainable livelihoods for marginalized communities in rural Bangladesh. The program prioritizes the empowerment of women, youth, and vulnerable families by enhancing their skills, resources, and access to local markets.
KDA provides vocational and technical training in tailoring, handicrafts, poultry farming, cattle rearing, fish cultivation, and agro-processing to build the capacity of participants.
After training, participants receive seed capital or tools/equipment to start small businesses. KDA also offers business development guidance and mentorship.
Special focus is given to rural women by forming self-help groups (SHGs), providing income-generating tools, and linking them with microcredit and cooperative models.
KDA closely monitors progress and provides follow-up support to help the small businesses grow and scale.
By promoting self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth, KDA’s Income Generating Program is contributing to poverty reduction and social development in line with national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Fundraising plan to attract governments, NGOs/ INGOs, or private donors.
