Disable
We have some programs to integrate disable into the mainstream of society
Kachua Dalima Association (KDA) is a grassroots, community-based development organization dedicated to ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education for children, adolescents, and youth with disabilities in underserved and rural areas of Bangladesh. We firmly believe that no child should be left behind, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities.
The Challenge
In rural and low-resource settings, children with disabilities face severe barriers to education, including:
11
Lack of accessible school infrastructure
Shortage of inclusive learning materials and assistive devices
• Untrained teachers in special education
• Cultural stigma and neglect
• Poverty, limiting mobility and participation
These barriers deny children their basic rights and limit their potential to contribute to society.
Our Approach and Interventions
KDA adopts a rights-based, community-driven approach to inclusive education through:
22
  • Inclusive School Enrollment Drives: Mobilizing families and schools to admit and support children with disabilities.
  • Teacher Training: Building capacity of local educators in inclusive and adaptive teaching techniques.
  • Assistive Devices and Learning Aids: Providing mobility tools, hearing devices, Braille kits, and visual aids.
  • Parental and Community Sensitization: Conducting awareness sessions to reduce stigma and promote inclusion.
  • Home-Based Learning Support: For severely disabled children who cannot attend schools.
  • Advocacy and Partnership: Working with local education offices, disability forums, and NGOs to align with national disability education frameworks.
Our Vision
33

KDA envisions a society where every child with a disability has access to a safe, inclusive, and quality learning environment that fosters independence, confidence, and opportunity.

Appeal for Support

Despite our dedicated efforts, the need far exceeds our current capacity. To scale up our disability-inclusive education initiative, we urgently seek support from donors, foundations, CSR partners, INGOs, and individuals committed to equity and inclusion.
